Different Ways to Interact With AWS – Management Console, CLI, SDKs

You can interact with various AWS services through different tools:

  • AWS Management Console

  • Command Line Interface (CLI)

  • SDKs

 

AWS Management Console

  1. AWS Management Console is the web-based intuitive GUI to manage all services.

  2. You can go to the AWS home page @ https://aws.amazon.com/ to login to the management console (or even for creating a new account).

 

Command Line Interface (CLI)

  1. With the CLI you can control all services from the command line.

  2. CLI interface is especially useful for automation tasks.

  3. You can get started with AWS CLI @ https://aws.amazon.com/cli/.

 

SDKs

  1. SDKs are provided for programmatically accessing and controlling the various services.  

  2. AWS provides SDKs for Java, .NET, PHP, Python, Ruby, Go, Android, IOS, Node.js and Javascript.
